HOW DAZZLING SMILES™ TREATMENT WORKS
DAZZLING SMILES™ has exhaustively researched the art of the cosmetic teeth whitening process. It has been determined that there are five essential elements, that when combined into a systematic protocol, will attain the maximum results. The following five process components have been incorporated into the DAZZLING SMILES™ system:
- Heat
- Peroxide
- Pressure
- Exposure Time
- Light Wave Technology
PEROXIDE: Peroxide used in the cosmetic teeth whitening industry comes in several forms that all process into hydrogen peroxide. In lay terms, peroxide lightens accumulated discoloration from the tooth surface. This is why the industry terms, bleaching and whitening, are used interchangeably. The chemical process is as follows: The hydrogen peroxide reacts with light and oxygen. This reaction creates hydroxyl radicals that actually penetrate the tooth enamel and combine with the carbon-based molecules in the stain. The now “loosened” particles responsible for the darker shading of the tooth separate themselves from the tooth and are now transferred to the treatment solution surrounding the tooth and to the foam treatment pad itself. The DAZZLING SMILES™ system is expressly formulated to create the high-performance processing of accumulated sources of discolorization without causing damage to the tooth enamel.
LIGHT: Light waves within a defined spectrum have been shown to both accelerate the formation and release of the effective hydroxyl radicals and to sustain their actions through the whitening session. The DAZZLING SMILES™ high-performance LED treatment light is precisely calibrated to the nanometer wave length our research has determined to be the most effective. The patented design of our mouthpiece is also one which is expressly designed to facilitate the delivery of the light to the posterior (rear) surfaces of the teeth. The light is positioned in very close proximity to the mouthpiece by our technicians and set by an integrated timer for the optimum interval.
PRESSURE: If peroxide does not contact the tooth surface it cannot be effective. An extensive amount of research and development has gone into the DAZZLING SMILES™ pre-loaded tray/mouthpiece delivery system. |
